What Do We Do?
Proofreading
We professionally scrutinize text copy to identify and correct typos, misspellings, wording, punctuation and basic grammar, capitalization, and inconsistencies in style, headings or tenses.
Copy Editing - Basic
With Basic Copy Editing we identify and remedy poor word choices, awkward sentencing and excessive repetition.
Copy Editing - Advanced
Advanced Copy Editing incorporates extensive rewriting and/or reworking of the text in addition to the basic duties of copy editing. Our Advanced Copy Editing makes sure that the language flows smoothly and is easily understood. This may require rewriting of particular passages that are awkward.
Formatting
With our formatting services, we’ll help you blend all the elements of your book and properly format it to printer specifications. Most of our formatting is done with Adobe InDesign (preferred or required by most printers) or Microsoft Word.
Basic Formatting
While formatting with the proper printer- ready software, we will place up to a maximum of 15 images in the manuscript and ensure correction of extra white space, paragraph indentations, mixed fonts, headers and footers, page numbering, proper order of front material, and an updated table of contents.
Advanced Formatting
This formatting service allows for more flexibility with design elements such as fonts and page number styles and provides for an unlimited number of images. Correction of extra white space, paragraph indentations, mixed fonts, headers and footers, page numbering, proper order of front material, and an updated table of contents is also included.
Cover Design
Custom Cover Design services are provided by our in-house team of Marcy (30 years - professional artist) and Clint (graphic design).
Printing/Distribution
Your distribution objectives will drive the selection of printing and distribution services. For most publications, print-on-demand (POD) printers offer many advantages. But again, we will address your individual needs to ensure that services provided are commensurate with
your publication goals.
